Salvia blepharophylla ‘Painted Lady’

  • Description:
Herbaceous perennial. The name ‘blepharophylla’ refers to the small, eyelash-like hairs on the edge of its leaves. In our opinion, this is the most outstanding form of the species. Large, bright scarlet flowers with velvety hair on the upper lip from June to November. Black-tinted foliage. This Mexican native makes an excellent container plant.
  • Hardiness:
Half-hardy so needs a sheltered position.
  • Height:
    45cm
