Salvia patens ‘Guanajuato’

Tuberous perennial.

This tall form was collected in Mexico by Compton, d’Arcy and Rix. Large, deep blue flowers from July to October.

Overwinters easily in our free draining, sandy soil.

In colder areas, either mulch or lift the tubers like Dahlias in late autumn. Beware of slugs eating the newly emerging shoots in spring. Needs support
